Designed by Jean Michel Frank in 1939. Two of these armachairs appear in photographs of the living room of the apartment of George Born in Buenos Aires. This luxurious apartment was one of Frank' s last major decorating projects. In the winter of 1939-40, Frank fled from Franch to Argentina to avoid the nazi invasion. In 1941, he commited suicide in New York.
